3 Ways to Stop Your Sisterlocks From Drying Out & Breaking Off

Moisture is key for keeping your Sisterlocks from drying out and breaking off. It can be frustrating and discouraging to constantly have to deal with fragile, dry, and breaking hair.

In this video, you will learn how to hydrate your Sisterlocks, using our Super Conditioning Whip Creme w/Jojoba & Lanolin. This regimen will help to keep your hair springy, shiny, moisturized, and hydrated.

Although, I wear Sisterlocks, this method can be used for loose natural hair, braids, twists, and dreadlocks.

Here are the 3 Ways to Stop Your Sisterlocks from Drying Out and Breaking Off:

1. Shampoo your Sisterlocks with a gentle clarifying shampoo that is sulfate-free and that will cleanse your hair without drying it out. Dry thirsty hair causes your hair to be vulnerable and to experience hair breakage more often.

2. After shampooing your Sisterlocks, make sure to rinse thoroughly and follow up with a deep conditioning creme that will add moisture, shine, and hydration back to your hair. The key to Sisterlocks staying hydrated is moisture. This way, your hair will be at its optimal in health and strength.

3. During the week, our hair tends to get a little dry, so the best thing to do is to have a moisturizing spray handy. Spray your hair during the middle of the week to keep those tresses hydrated and manageable.

For us, 4c hair girls, gone are the days of being known as having bad hair; 4c hair can now be known as being good hair.

Yes! natural Sisterlocks can be beautiful, shiny, and manageable, without being dry or constantly breaking off. The key is to give it what it wants -- moisture!
